Our Dojo

Shotai dojo is the oldest dojo in the Slovak Aikido Friendship Association. Its history began in 1991, and over the years it has gone through many organizational changes.

Dojo Shotai was a member of the Czechoslovak Aikido Association until 1993. From 1994 to 1998 it was a member of the Czech Aikido Federation, and in 1998 it became a founding member of the Slovak Aikido Friendship Association.

Several instructors grew up in Dojo Shotai and later founded their own dojo, for example in Turcianske Teplice, Zilina, Povazska Bystrica, Ruzomberok, Dolny Kubin, and Bratislava.
